Arthur's is our go-to for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner when we don't want to cook for a small crowd. Thanksgiving 2019 was very special as I proposed to my girlfriend over dessert.
I especially want to thank Melinda and Hamid for organizing my special dessert request with Champagne to compliment the occasion! We will always remember celebrating our engagement! -

Since Steve Field's closed we've been looking for a new place. Many of the folks from there moved to Arthur's including the manager and the chef so we decided to check it out.
We went for Thanksgiving and I thought it was terrific. They've been around for 70 years or so in a couple different locations so there is a lot of history. The revolving door is from a hotel in NYC from 1917. Beautiful paintings on the wall as well. The place is huge - I heard it is an old Capital Grille building.
I ordered a steak and it was terrific. The scalloped potatoes were also great. For dessert they had two kinds of mousse and it was also great.
My son and wife ordered the traditional turkey dinner. It was a real turkey not the processed slice. Their mashed potatoes and stuffing was also terrific.
Great service just like Steve Field's. Love it.
We will now be dining here regularly. -

Our good friends brought us to their weekly haunt, Arthur's.
Arthur's Steakhouse has been a Dallas staple for like 60 years. The pride and beauty of that time still stands in this historic beauty. There is a formal restaurant, as well as an attached cocktail lounge. The restaurant has a well-suited, Lurch-style man as host, and the restaurant is draped with rich woods, oil paintings, huge fish tanks, and great lighting. On my visit, however, we patronized the lounge.
The lounge was warm and inviting. The room was also rich wood, with luxurious fabrics and oil paintings throughout. The lighting highlighted great artwork, and also made the lounge warm, inviting, and a bit swanky, reminiscent of the old 40s and 50s lounges. There was a large stage, where an acoustic guitarist serenaded our visit.
Each couple shared a chicken quesadilla. Not much of a "meal" to report on (in quantity), but its quality is. The chicken was a well-flavored, cubed chicken that was abundant, as was the cheese. The crisp wedges were served with adequate amounts of salsa, sour cream and guacamole. Mr. P and I could barely finish it...and we split!
The service was top-notch. We were made extremely comfortable, and our glasses never went dry. I had a lovely Moscato wine, served at just the right temperature. Our friends have a favorite table, which staff reserves for them each week. Our friend is visually impaired, and the window lighting behind helps him immensely. The staff knows this, and always keep them accommodated. The staff knows what they eat and drink from memory. As they entered, the guitarist even crooned their favorite song, Louis Armstrong's Wonderful World. What a nice touch, and way to value loyal patrons!
We look forward to visiting Arthur's on our next Dallas visit, and highly suggest them to everyone. -

Wow, this place is memorable. The inside looks like a private club, decorated in every corner. The food was amazing as well as the atmosphere. Such a cool experience!
Melissa and Eddie (bartenders) were so personable and caring.
The wedge salad with steak was so flavorful and absolutely amazing - If you go before 7pm, this dish is only $11 which is an amazing deal with how great it was. After you eat, you will want to stay for the music and atmosphere.
Can't wait to go back. -

Excellent food. Excellent service. Been here quite a few times and all the cuts of meat have always been amazing. I have to highly recommend the Brie soup; best I've ever had.
